Hi, I’m Lauren. I am an aspiring web designer who recently graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Web Design and Development. I interned for a small company where I assisted with creating layouts and themes to suit the needs of the different clients. I do the same for my current employer, A Way Forward, a pain management company. I help maintain and update their site as well as perform other design projects. I am very enthusiastic and I have a strong work ethic. I work part-time for A Way Forward and would like to have other opportunities for web design work. I am proficient in HTML/CSS, SASS and JQuery. Thank you for your consideration!
This is a one page site that I created for Aaron Rittenour, a video producer who travels the world and creates videos for many different venues. I decided to go with a simple, yet modern look with text over a few pictures. I used a template that uses the bootstrap framework and modified it with html/css. Click here to view the site.
The screenshot is a site that I worked on for Gerry Mahn, a devote Christian who works to make the Ten Commandments available around the world. This site is set up in Wordpress and features photos and information featuring trips from all over the world. I currently work for him updating his site and blog. Click here to view the site.
Created in Wix, A Way Forward is a company that specializes in helping others manage their chronic pain. Currently I continue to help maintain and update the site. Click hereto view the site.
For this mock up site, I imagined a client who wanted a blog to post information about their journey through a healthy lifestyle, and to share recipes of their homemade healthy dishes. I have used bootstrap and a blog template that I modified. I envisioned a clean, informal and modern look with the theme and the fonts. I imagined that the client wanted the site to project an easygoing and welcoming vibe. Click here to view the site.
I imagined a client who started a small museum devoted to Waylon Jennings and wanted a website to go along with it. I went with a small, but simple black, white and grey theme. I imagined since a good portion of the users might be on the older side, I wanted to make things easy to read and manuver easy. You can take a look at the site Waylon Jennings Museum
This is a mobile site I made for an assignment for a mobile/responsive site class at Lewis Clark State College. I made the site using ThemeRoller at Jquery Mobile and I decided to opt for a fun hobby site to host the lyrics to a defunct band called luvjOi. It was inspired to be for fans so they would have an easy access to lyrics of luvjOi's songs. I went for a minimalistic look with the black background with white text to keep things simple for the user. Click here to view the site.
